Knotted Towel Holder

Warm greetings my crochet friends!

It has been a cold January so far even for those of us who live in the South. I hope you are staying warm today. I just released my first pattern! Introducing the Knotted Towel Holder! This towel holder is an original pattern design with a unique texture. If you are looking to do some market preparation please consider purchasing this pattern.

The details are listed below.

This towel holder is great for holding your decorative or functional towel on the stove or dishwasher. It keeps it from slipping off.

LEVEL

Beginner/ Intermediate

SUPPLIES

The Yarn: Category #4 / worsted I used less than 1.75 oz. / 50g. Yarn used is Hobby Lobby's Crafter Secret. This yarn is 100% cotton and comparable to Peaches N Cream and Lily's Sugar n Cream.

Crochet hook: 4.5mm (G)

Yarn needle

Scissors

3 inch wooden ring (set of 2)

Stitch makers (optional)

GAUGE / TENSION

To check your gauge / tension, work the first two rows of the pattern.

Check width after row 2. This should be 3.5 inches wide. If the gauge is not met, size up or down until you meet the gauge.

Final Dimensions

To check that you’re okay for size, the width of the towel holder should be 3.5 inches and 8 inches long. Dimensions do not count the wooden rings.

PATTERN NOTES

  •  US crochet terminology used throughout.

  •  The Towel Holder is made in rows.

  •  The ch1 and ch3 at the beginning of each row do not count as a stitch. Therefore, you should make the first stitch of the row in the same stitch (at the base of the ch1 or ch3).

  •  When counting the total number of stitches at the end of each round, please be careful not to include the ch1 or ch3 in the final stitch count.

  •  For beginners, it will be helpful to place a stitch marker in the last stitch of the row which will be the Knotted Half Double Crochet
