Born from Insecurity- Behind the Name

Magical Lemonz came to life from a deeply personal and empowering moment. Let me share the story behind the name.

A little back ground first.

I am the woman who...

-never knows how to respond in a social setting

-doesn't understand sarcasm

-says what I think

-can make any situation awkward

-worries if my outfit fits into the social setting I am attending

-always feels out of place and excluded

Now that you have some context here is where Magical Lemonz came from.

One day, as I was getting ready for a social event, feeling a bit insecure as I'm not naturally a social butterfly, I turned to my husband for outfit advice. This time, his response was unique.

He asked, "Breland, does the outfit make you feel Magical? Does it make you feel like you, powerful, creative, bubbly, and bold? If so, wear it. If not, get rid of it. The only person who should have an opinion on what you wear is you. So, if it makes you feel all magical and lemony, wear it and wear it proudly."

This moment of support and encouragement led me to embrace my love for vibrant colors, bold prints, and unique styles. I realized that I didn't always fit the traditional color palette or wear prints that are considered "aesthetic," but that was okay.

It took time to be comfortable with being myself not just in my social interactions but also in my sense of style. And that's when the idea of Magical Lemonz was born.

It has taken me more time to embrace my sense of design and color options for the items I decide to sell. I am still working on this one.

My business is all about making people feel magical. I want the items they wear or use to reflect their uniqueness and individual outlook on the world.

As a small business owner with diverse backgrounds in several hobbies, I have the flexibility to create something that fits each person perfectly.
